Mark Medina at the LA Times Lakers Blog interviewed me for a roundtable on the 1960 U.S. Olympic Team, which will be inducted into the Hall of Fame tomorrow. That team featured Jerry West and Oscar Robertson and was coached by the great Pete Newell, a former Lakers GM and longtime admirer of West.
Mark’s question were excellent and really got me thinking about that critical period in hoops history. He also posed a fascinating question about pitting the 1960 USA team against the 1992 Dream Team.
